The 8th AGM of the Community Partnership

The 8th AGM of the Community Partnership was held on the 10th July and was well attended by members, and supporters, of the group in the Stanley Room of the Village Hall. Three new people were voted on to the managing committee representing the Weald School and the Chamber of Commerce. Six people have asked to be co-opted on to the committee at their next full meeting to be held on the 15th July.

Patrick Perks, who has served the Community Partnership for eight years as its Chairman and Founding Member, stood down this year and Owen Davies was elected as the incoming Chairman of the Partnership.

Patrick’s address is appended. Many compliments were given to him for all his efforts over the years and a small presentation made to Patrick and his wife June. June replied on behalf of them both especially for the wonderful bouquet given to her remarking that now Patrick has stood down “Breakfasts will never be the same again!”

In recognition of the work Patrick has done over the years both for this Community and for the wider Southeast Community Partnerships he has been elected as a Trustee and Director of the South East Towns Partnership.

The full minutes and other Project reports will be posted here in due course.
